CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
The number of participants is limited to 10. Students who are selected to participate in the Research Workshop will be requested to submit a short report on their research proposal by the April 28, 2019 to ivanda.jakovele@lu.lv. During the Workshop the students will be invited to present their report (see Guidelines for the presentation). Chairperson Prof.Margarita Dunska, University of Latvia, Latvia.
Guidelines for the report (max. 5 pages):
- the central research question addressed (to include a brief statement of the topic and of the issue/ problem that motivates the research) [10%];
- theory and literature review [20%];
- research design, data, and methodology (including hypothesis) [30%];
- expected results and summary of the evidence of the study so far (if applicable: an outline of any preliminary findings) [20%];
- expected contribution and its significance in the field [10%];
- conclusions, and any remaining concerns or problems to be overcome [10%].
Guidelines for the presentation (max. 15 minutes):
- the central research question addressed (to include a brief statement of the topic, and of the issue or problem that motivates the research);
- theory and literature review;
- research design, qualitative, quantitative or mixed methods (rationale, data collection and analysis techniques);
- expected results and summary of the evidence of the study thus far (to include an outline of any preliminary findings if applicable);
- expected contribution and its significance;
- conclusions, and remaining concerns or problems to be overcome (to include any areas in which help would still be useful, and any questions for the members’ panel).
