On June 7th, at the Academic Centre of University of Latvia KPMI Scientific assistant Dārta Pūpola defended her Master Thesis on the "Long-term Effects of Amoxicillin and Clarithromycin Combined Therapy on Gastrointestinal Microbioma". The supervisor of the master's thesis is Mārcis Leja ( Director of the LU KPMI), but scientific adviser - Dita Gudrā (LV BMC). The result is a Master's degree in Biology.

Invitation for students to participate in paid study visit to the EU , 30 November - 2 December 2010, Brussels The European People's Party Group in the Committee of the Regions believes that it is essential to include young people in the European project and that the European institutions must provide opportunities for them to do so. For this reason, it will be hold a three-day study trip on 30 November – 2 December 2010 for 30 students enrolled in Masters Programmes of European Studies, Political Science or International Relations. During the study trip will be organised seminars, workshops, meeting with high EU representatives. Interested students are invited to return the application form by 25 October 2010. Aizvadītās nedēļas darba dienu izskaņā, 12. janvārī, florbola komanda “Latvijas Universitāte/FS Masters” viesos uzņēma “FK Ozolnieki/JN”. Piektdienas vakarā “Rimi OC” fanus priecēja pārliecinoša universitātes florbola komandas spēle, kas rezultējās ar graujošu rezultātu 11 pret 4 “Latvijas Universitāte/FS Masters” labā. Pirmo trešdaļu iesākām mierīgi ļaujot rezultātu atklāt pretiniekiem ar diviem vārtu guvumiem pēc kārtas. 16.minūtē spēli lēnām pārņēmām savā kontrolē atspēlējot vienu vārtu guvumu. Nevēloties pārtraukumā doties iedzinēju pozīcijā pēdējās pirmās trešdaļas sekundēs guvām arī otros vārtus, kas izlīdzināja rezultātu 2:2. Atgriežoties pēc veiksmīgas 10 minūšu pauzes, pilnīga spēles kontrole bija “LU/FS Masters” pārvaldībā. 29. un 31. minūtē precīzi raidījām bumbiņu pretinieku vārtos, izveidojot 2 punktu pārsvaru. “FK Ozolnieki/JN” gan 2 minūtes pēc pēdējo vārtu guvuma atspēlēja 1 punktu. Ne tikai spēles kontrole, bet arī veiksme bija mūsu pusē. Mūsu florbolisti guva 4

Professional Master’s Studies Programme “Translation”

In accordance with the requirements of the international labour market, significant changes have been introduced to the master's study programme “European Studies” implemented by the University of Latvia Faculty of Business, Management and Economics (FBME). 27. februārī turpinājās ceturtdaļfināla spēles starp “LU/FS Masters” un “Talsu NSS/TX koks”. Šoreiz mūsu florbola komanda devās izbraukumā uz “Talsu Valsts Gimnāziju”. Otrdienas vakara izskaņā “LU/FS Masters”  uz Rīgu atbrauca ar uzvaru 7 pret 5. Spēle aizsākās ļoti strauji ar mājinieku pirmo vārtu guvumu 7. minūtē. Kārlis Spilbergs 13. minūtē saskatīja iespēju atklāt arī universitātes komandas rezultātu. Nākamais veiksmes metiens bija Talsu komandas pusē, kad viņi guva otros vārtus. Pirmās trešdaļas noslēgumā Roberts Trofimenko (Maksis Klūga) izlīdzināja rezultātu līdz 2:2. Pēc nelielās pauzes komandas ar pilnu jaudu atgriezās Talsu spēles laukumā. 68 sekundes pēc perioda sākuma Kārlis Spilbergs (Roberts Trofimenko) izrāva “LU/FS Masters” vadībā par vienu punktu. “TalsuNSS/TXkoks” pēc pāris sekundēm izlīdzināja rezultātu līdz 3:3. 29. minūtē sporta zālē atkal valdīja skaļas ovācijas, jo gūti vārti. Šoreiz gan mājinieku labā. “Latvijas Universitāte/FS Masters” turpināja rādīt, visu
