The Doll Art Museum, within the Europan Professional Doll Art Festival in Riga, presents an exhibition "Shoddy Bear" - a contemporary art Teddy collection by Pasha Setrova and a photo project by Julia Osina-Fridman. The exhibition will be open from August 21 till September 21 in the Greenhouse of the Botanical Garden. "Shoddy Bear" is an avant-garde opposite to beloved, sweet Teddy Bear. Artworks are designed by the doll artist Pasha Setrova, and they are ranked as ART Teddies. This field of art uses different techniques - sculpture, textile, photography, painting, and fashion. First exhibition TEDDY FUN was organized in Moscow by the Russian Doll Art magazine, and it had travelled to StPetersburg, Tokyo, Tallin, and Riga since. Besides the bears by Pasha Setrova, in the exhibition "Shoddy Bear" there will be a photo project by Julia Osina-Fridman also - she took a provocative and expressive photos with Pasha and her dolls. On November 1, Data4UA project kicked off with the aim of enhancing data-driven cultural heritage management in Ukraine. This 18-month project, running from November 1, 2023, to April 30, 2025, brings together a dynamic consortium of partners, including the Institute of Literature, Folklore, and Art at the University of Latvia in the role of a coordinator (Latvia), Lviv Polytechnic National University (Ukraine), Space4CC (Greece/Norway), and the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia). The project is supported by the European Union's Erasmus+ program. Art works created by Ingrīda Irbe, a painter and lecturer of the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Art at the University of Latvia, are exhibit at the Library at Kalpaka Boulevard from April 15th until August 15th.This exhibition exposes paintings, created by the artist and her pupils from the Children and Youth Centre "Mīlgrāvis" during their drawing and painting classes. In 2015 the work of the educator and her pupils was awarded the annual award of Riga City Council's Education, Culture and Sport Department "For achievements in hobby education". In this exhibition take part the pupils of I. Irbe: G. E. Ērmane, A. Anaņjeva, K. R. Ozoliņa, S. Trofimova, A. Locane, A. Ponomarjova, D. Mihaila and M.
