In 2020, a group of researchers from the University of Latvia together with partners in Bulgaria, Cyprus and Belgium in the project “MyHUB online repository includes good practices, resources, resources, methodological applications in formal and non-formal education” (604454-EPP-1-2018-1- LV EPPKA3-IPI-SOC-IN) continues the work on the development of a digital website, which collects and systematizes materials and examples of good practice on issues of inclusive education. By the end of October 2020, the implementation of inclusive education at various levels of education has been applied to the project partners and the collected more than 200 materials and good practices tested in international practice. 110 descriptions of good practice are already available in Latvian, the process of colection of good practices and translation continues, and the content of the repository is constantly being supplemented. When, where and for how long did your mobility last? Was it your first time abroad? “I did my internship in Valencia, Spain, in January and February 2021 (for my first year of master). It wasn’t my first experience abroad. I’ve been to Galway, Ireland too, to do an internship for my DUT.” Why did you choose that particular internship? Did you integrate well? How was it? “I contacted FORTHEM when I was searching for an internship, and I specified in my cover letter that I wanted to do an internship in molecular biology which is an area that I am passionate about. I didn’t have any preference concerning the country of destination, I just wanted to improve my level of English. I knew that usually with exchange students, research laboratories work in English, no matter which country you are in. I also wanted to live in another country for a while and discover new things, all the while knowing that this experience would be a good asset in my resume. I integrated quite well

The time of the pandemic has not deprived and stoppedthe University of Latvia (UL)fromreaching new peaks.During the2021/2022academic year,the University of Latviaisoffering12 new study programs, 5 new patrons joined the existing patronage of the University of Latvia and the response from students was higher than ever - a total of 456 applications for scholarships were received. 4 newbachelor’sdegreeprograms have been created at theUL. 2 new study programs have beencreatedat the master's level, while6new study programs have beencreatedat the doctoral level. Last year, two new and important study programs were established, which were supported by the patrons of the University of Latvia “Biosan” and SIA “Mikrotīkls”–“Epidemiology and Medical Statistics” and “Biotechnology and Bioengineering”. TheULFoundationissupported by long-term patrons,but they arejoined bynew supporters every year.During the2021/2022academic year,5 new patrons joined the foundation, supporting aspiring students
such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, India, Pakistan, Egypt, Morocco and others learned about study opportunities at the University of Latvia. Among the range of newly created study programmes, the greatest interest was in the academic study programme "Biotechnology and Bioengineering" and the academic master's study programme "Epidemiology and Medical Statistics". The participation of the University of Latvia in the event was possible thanks to the project "Design of Internationally Competitive Study Programmes Promoting the Development of the National Economy of Latvia at the University of Latvia" (project No. 8.2.1.0/18/A/015). On 31 October, the University of Latvia (UL) published an advertisement for eight tenured positions in biology, medicine, physics, computer science, linguistics, philosophy, social and education sciences on the official Latvian and international vacancies websites. On 7 November, editorial changes were made to the international portal. The deadline for applications has been extended to 21 November. The call for applications is published on www.lu.lv, on the CV and Vacancy Portal of the National Employment Agency at www.nva.gov.lv and on the international portal at www.euraxess.ec.europa.eu/ . In order to ensure excellence in science and the development of the UL as an internationally recognised science an research centre, to promote the quality of studies and research in this field, and to enhance knowledge in the wider society, the UL invites applications for tenure-track professorships in the following fields: Genetic Research of Biological Resources and Smart Breeding
with the Latvian context and current educational policy goals. The results of the research will be presented in at least five international scientific conferences. It is envisaged that within the project four articles will be submitted or accepted for publication and three articles will be published in Web of Science or Scopus indexed journals and proceedings. It is planned that by the end of the project, two Master's theses will be defended and one PhD thesis will be submitted for defence. Two conferences will be organized on the results of the project in the middle and at the end of the project. Regular press releases, social media publications and popular scientific articles will be used to inform the society about the progress of the project and the results achieved. The results of the research will contribute to evidence-based decision-making on promoting the effectiveness of professional development of adults, including teachers, and the achievement of strategic education development
