UL biologists and chemists who inspire In cooperation with the University of Latvia Foundation and “Friends of the University of Latvia”, the most successful students of the Faculty of Biology or Chemistry of the University of Latvia receive the Mundheim Family Excellence Scholarship . So far, five talented, determined and enthusiastic students of exact sciences , who have continued their master’s level studies at UL with experience in research, have received their support. One of the first recipients of the Excellence Scholarship in the academic year 2013/14 was the chemist Mārtiņš Balodis , who, after graduating from the University of Latvia Faculty of Chemistry, received a red diploma of excellence twice – at both the bachelor’s and master’s level. The University of Latvia welcomes FORTHEM Campus Riga students

2021/2022 In the spring semester of the academic year, the University of Latvia (UL) has welcomed FORTHEM Campus Riga students studying at the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Business, Management and Economics. 4 students from 3 FORTHEM partner universities in Spain (University of Valencia), Italy (University of Palermo) and France (University of Burgundy) have chosen LU as their study destination. On April 26, 2022, the Mobility Division of the Study Service Department (SSD) organized a walking tour of the Old Town. Students of the University of Latvia, who during their studies took the opportunity to participate in FORTHEM short-term mobility also joined the meeting. This was the first time for a student from Spain to travel and live alone without family and close friends. Fear had to be overcome, but she is very grateful that she agreed to go on this exchange, because she has become much more independent. This exchange was a call for a student from France, as she is used

Madara Apsalone presents her accomplishments that have been achieved with the patron's support:“In 2017, Eigits Dāvis Timermanis scholarship enabled me to conducted an extensive research, surveying more than 600 small and medium-sized enterprises in Latvia, identifying and analyzing the role of organizational culture and knowledge management processes in organizational innovation, developing a conceptual model for characterising this impact, as well as evaluating the contribution to the promotion of innovation
