President of Akita International University visits University of Latvia

In 2011 the UL and AIU made a Bilateral Cooperation Agreement providing regular exchange of students and lecturers. Last year two AIU students spent a year at the UL, and this year there is one exchange student from AIU. A similar number of UL students also enrol in AIU, Japan.

The aim of the AIU President’s visit is  to confirm the interest for further cooperation and discuss its future opportunities. During the visit Dr. Mineo Nakajima will meet Gundars Berzins, UL Chancellor  and Rector Deputy, Janis Stonis, UL Administrative Director, representatives of the UL Department of Foreign Affairs, as well as he will visit the UL Faculty of Humanities.
