The European Researchers' Night celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. All the events will take place - simultaneously - on 25 September, in 280 cities across Europe and beyond.

The Researchers’ Night will be held in eight Latvian towns – Riga, Salaspils, Jelgava, Daugavpils, Rezekne, Valmiera, Liepaja and Ventspils. This year’s theme of this even will be light. The Researchers’ Night provides an opportunity for all visitors to take part in exciting experiments and interactive scientific events, as well as try out different lab equipment in action. For example, National Botanical Garden and UL Botanical Garden will open improvised laboratories and holds interesting science shows. Latvenergo’s Energetics Museum, P.Stradins Museum of Medical History, Ventspils and Vidzeme high schools and Daugavpils University will also have a few surprises in store for visitors.
