We invite cordially everyone interested to attend the Open Day of European Studies Masters Programme on Wednesday 19 June 2013 at the European Union House, Aspazijas 28, the 2nd floor from 11.00 until 13.00.

The event will be opened by Head of the European Commission Representation Professor Inna Steinbuka and moderated by Mr Ansis Bogustovs - a journalist and expert in EU issues. European Studies Masters Programme (ESMP) is implemented at the Faculty of Economics and Management, University of Latvia in cooperation with Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, supported by the European Commission.  At the Open Day students, graduates and faculty members of the ESMP will talk about the programme and answer questions. More than 500 graduates have been awarded a master degree in Social Sciences European Studies. They work as political, economic, and legal advisers in international, European Union and national institutions, in diplomatic services, as lobbyists at EU level, in EU funds management, as international journalism, in universities and research centres and some pursuing a PhD studies. Everybody who is interested to learn about the programme is welcome. The event will be in Latvian and English. The event is free of charge. Refreshments will be provided. ESMP was opened in 2000 and is accredited until 2020 as an international, interdisciplinary programme. The programme allows specialisation in EU law; economics, politics, external relations as well as in EU project management. The teaching staff of the programme is represented by high level national and international experts with extensive experience in the relevant areas from Latvia, EU institutions, partner universities in Europe and overseas.
