Conference on "Creativity in Mathematics Education and the Education of Gifted Students"

The work of the conference will be supervised by an International Program Committee co-chaired by Prof. Agnis Andžāns (Latvia), Prof. Hartwig Meissner (Germany) and Prof. Linda Jensen Sheffield (USA). The conference will be organized at the University of Latvia, in its central building (Rainis Boul. 19). The work of the conference will concentrate around four central topics:

1. Perspectives on creativity and giftedness in mathematics.
2. Psychological aspects of creativity and giftedness and educational contexts.
3. (Developing) mathematical creativity and giftedness in different educational contexts.
4. Possibilities of intercultural and international cooperation.

Short communications, plenary lectures and workshops will be organized around each of these four topics. Official conference language is English.
