University of Latvia to Host Dulsori Korean Drum Show

In the programme: 18:00 – 19:00 Dulsori drum band show in the UL Great Hall 20:00 – 21:00 Presentation of Korean cuisine in the Daily lunch restaurant (in the basement of the University main building, 19 Raina Bulv.) The event is open to anyone intereste. Dulsori (the Korean for ‘heartbeat of the land’) was formed in 1984. Since then, the drum band of eight musicians has performed in more than 53 countries around the world, such as Australia, Israel, Hong Kong, Singapore, and many countries across Africa and Europe. Dulsori performs classical and traditional Korean drum pieces of music applying a special percussion (drum beats) technique. Each performer plays at an individual rhythm to imitate the sounds of wind, rain, sun, storm, and other natural phenomena.
