On the 3rd of November UL FEM professor received a distinction from the former Minister of Education and science Ina Druviete.

Former Minister of Education and science Ina Druviete awarded FEM economic systems management theory and methods department professor Biruta Sloka with a distinction from the Cabinet of Ministers for her exceptional scientific and pedagogical work, stellar national and international project conducting and for her investment in educating the future specialists in the field of management and economics. Biruta Sloka has not only been a UL FEM professor since 2003, but also the advisor for six Ministers of Economics and two Ministers of Education and Science. She is the author for 25 scientific publications, the supervisor for 9 doctoral theses and she has been a part of 11 research projects but this is merely a fraction of her achievements. Given the fact that professor Sloka is the only professor from FEM who has received a distinction from the Cabinet of Ministers, the whole academic staff was there to congratulate her on this special day.
