Enabling innovation in rare-earth element electrodeposition through molecular dynamics simulations addresses the need for an alternative to chemical production. The project investigates the behavior of Ln(III) in dense ionic solutions (DIS) aiming to understand how DIS layering at the electrode interface influences permeability to Ln(III) ions – a hypothetically major factor in achieving successful electrodeposition.
