On Tuesday, 24 February at 11:30 AM, we will gather in the atrium of the House of Science (2nd floor) of the University of Latvia to jointly honor Ukraine. Everyone is invited to join and together express support for the people of Ukraine.
At 11:30 AM, we invite you to observe a united moment of silence in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and in remembrance of the victims of war.
During the commemoration, speeches will be delivered by Aigars Ekers, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, a colleague from Ukraine, Maksym Pogorielov, Leading Researcher at the Institute of Atomic Physics and Spectroscopy of the Faculty of Science and Technology, and Ivan Petrychko, Third Secretary of the Embassy of Ukraine in Latvia. The event will be accompanied musically by Ukrainian artist Anna Franchuk.
Everyone is warmly invited to join in expressing support for the people of Ukraine.
