My Photonic Ship: A Quantum Workshop for High School Students

The Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Latvia, as a part of the Latvian Quantum Initiative, invites high school students to take part in an innovative one-day workshop “My Photonic Ship” on October 4, 2025, at the University of Latvia, Riga (Raiņa bulvāris 19).

Participation is limited to 20 students, and basic Python programming knowledge is required. No prior knowledge of quantum computing is necessary. A short pre-workshop preparation task will be given to participants, and successful completion will be required to attend.

Registration is open until October 1, 2025 (first-come, first-served).

A preparatory online Q&A session will be held on October 2, 2025, at 19:00 for registered participants.
