Invitation to apply for the conference "Literature and Religion: Fathers’ Sins: in the Bible, Literature, Art and Culture"

The theme of the conference this year is Fathers’ Sins. Speakers are invited to study the origins and aftermath of these images and motifs in the Bible, literature, art and culture.

The conference invites potential speakers to give presentations on the interaction between theology and literary studies, religious and literary, artistic, theatrical, cinematic and musical forms, offering analysis and interpretation of works of art inspired by specific religious themes.

Working languages: Latvian, English, German.

The conference is supported by the University of Latvia, Faculty of Humanities (www.hzf.lu.lv), website of Literary Criticism www.ubisunt.lu.lv and website of Theatre Process www.kroders.lv.

Conference materials will be published in a collection of papers.

Conference fee – 30 EUR is payable by bank transfer to the given details by November 10, 2019.
