The course is developed for the Master program in chemistry. The aim of the study course is to provide students with knowledge about soil and air quality assessment. Tasks of the study course: • to develop students' understanding of sampling planning, sampling, preparation for analysis and analysis process, • to improve students' skills in determining and evaluating the degree of soil and air pollution, using appropriate analytical determination methods, • to develop students' practical skills in air and soil sampling and analysis. The study course is available in Latvian and English.

Theoretical understanding of logic, structure, processes, technology of project development, and using model representations of project cycle activities, organization and evaluation of implementation will teach also skills through group work and instructor interaaction, asking students to apply acguired knowledge and skills to their topical work environment. The purpose of the course is to provide students with basic knowledge and skills in working with documents in the domain of occupational health and safety. Course tasks: • to expand students' understanding of document circulation in the organization; • to improve the understanding of the format of documents and record keeping and the formation of correspondence, incl. preparation of orders and other documents; • to develop skills in working with information resources related to record keeping in the field of labor protection.
