The course is developed for the Master program in chemistry. The aim of the study course is to provide students with knowledge about soil and air quality assessment. Tasks of the study course: • to develop students' understanding of sampling planning, sampling, preparation for analysis and analysis process, • to improve students' skills in determining and evaluating the degree of soil and air pollution, using appropriate analytical determination methods, • to develop students' practical skills in air and soil sampling and analysis. The study course is available in Latvian and English.

The course is aimed to provide basic insights into conceptual framework of Project Management, to introduce master degree students with internationally recognised quidelines and current aproaches, norms and standards, tools and techniques. Theoretical understanding of logic, structure, processes, technology of project development, and using model representations of project cycle activities, organization and evaluation of implementation will teach also skills through group work and instructor interaaction, asking students to apply acguired knowledge and skills to their topical work environment. The aim of the course is to provide students with the opportunity to master the basics of multimedia - photo, video, audio - and their use on various platforms - television, radio, print media and the Internet. Course tasks: 1) to teach students the basic knowledge and skills to be able to create high quality and meaningful multimedia works; 2) to build skills with cameras, microphones, lights and acquire various computer programs skills; 3) provide a multimedia work and product development platform within the study course. The course is taught in Latvian.

The aim of the study course is to enable students to get acquainted with the theory of business organization and the practice of using business process organization and planning methods. Course tasks: 1. to investigate the essence of business, its forms and its environment; 2. to find out the general regularities and principles of the functioning of an economic entity; 3. to find out the methods of choosing a place of business and learn the skills of their use; 4. To master the skills and skills of organization and planning of economic processes. Study course is in Latvian and English.

The aim of the course is to provide an opportunity for students to acquire information about the principles of creating a spatial environment, to develop skills with the help of which the author's idea can be embodied in a spatial model. Tasks of the study course: 1) to acquire specific professional skills in the theoretical and practical aspect, and artistic creativity; 2) to get acquainted with the methods of creating constructive three-dimensional compositions, logic of material, form and construction, tectonics; 3) to master modules and module systems, modeling practice. The aim of the course: to introduce local history as one of the directions of library work, emphasizing the sources and methodology of local history, the place of oral history and gender research in the local history of libraries. Tasks: to master the main directions of local history work in libraries, to be able to evaluate the principles of creating and storing a collection, to get acquainted with the methodology of oral history interviews and data processing. The course is intended for the students of the professional Master's study program "Work Environmental Protection and Expertise". The purpose of the course is to provide students with basic knowledge and skills in working with documents in the domain of occupational health and safety. Course tasks: • to expand students' understanding of document circulation in the organization; • to improve the understanding of the format of documents and record keeping and the formation of correspondence, incl. preparation of orders and other documents; • to develop skills in working with information resources related to record keeping in the field of labor protection. The language of instruction is Latvian.
