University of Latvia Academic Arbitration Court

According to paragraph 34 of the UL Constitution, the Academic Arbitration Court has five members – four representatives of the academic staff and one representative of the Student Council. Academic staff representatives are elected by the UL Constitutional Assembly for its term of office. The student representative is elected by the UL Student Council.

Members of UL Academic Arbitration Court:

  1. Ringolds Balodis, Professor of the Faculty of Law, chair of the Arbitration Court;
  2. Kristaps Āboliņš, representative of Student Council, secretary of the Arbitration Court;
  3. Normunds Titāns, Professor of the Faculty of Theology;
  4. Līva Rotkale, Assistant Professor of the Faculty of History and Philosophy;
  5. Pēteris Vanags, Professor of the Faculty of Humanities.
