Academic CentreThe University of Latvia (UL) “Science Cafe” is dedicated to free, informal discussion of scientific issues of interest to society. It is an opportunity for all those interested – teachers, pupils, students, officials, entrepreneurs, pensioners and others – to meet with the representatives of the relevant field of science, to ask questions of interest and to clarify the hitherto uncertain matters in a specific field of science.
The UL radio NABA every second Thursday at 19:00 airs a science programme “Zinātnes vārdā” ("In the name of Science") in cooperation with the "Science Cafe". The repeat of the programme is on Sunday at 16:00.
The events are organized by the UL Department of Science in cooperation with the Department of Communication and Innovation.
