Post Office and Telephone

Mailboxes in Latvia are coloured yellow with the word „Pasts” written on it; postage stamps can be bought at the post offices, kiosks (f.ex. Narvesen) and some bookstores. The closest Post Offices to the University of Latvia are located in Brīvības Blvd 32 and shopping mall “Origo”. Major Post offices in other cities are located in the center of the city, usually near the central train or bus station.
Telephone numbers in Riga have eight digits and start with 6.

The numbers of most mobile phones start with 2, 6, 8, or 9. Other cities have special city codes and five digits.
