On May 24, the closing conference of the National Research Program IMIS2 will be held at the Institute of Solid State Physics at the University of Latvia (ISSP UL). During the conference, program leader and project managers will inform about the achievements and results obtained during the program. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to view the achievements of the project participants in the form of poster presentations and demonstrations, as well as to discuss the scientific novelty and issues of interest!

About the program: National Research Program in accordance with section 35, paragraph 1 of the Law on Scientific Activity of 19 May 2005, are public procurement for conducting scientific research in a specific economic, educational, cultural or other priority area of ​​the state with the aim to promote the development of this sector. In all competitions, the ISSP UL has received a positive evaluation of experts and has led a program in cooperation with universities and research institutes:The Institute as a co-operation partner has also participated in the elaboration of two other programs:
  • 2010 - 2013 - Technologies for Innovative Production and Use of Energy Resources and Provision of Low Carbon Emissions by Means of Renewable Energy Resources, Support Measures for the Mitigation of Environmental and Climate Degradation – LATENERGI
  • 2014-2018 - Energy efficient and low-carbon solutions for a secure, sustainable and climate variability reducing energy supply – LATENERGI
