.09.2022-30.09.2022 / Conclusion September 30, 2022 Several copies of school kits have been prepared, ready for pilot projects in schools. Māra Reinfelde and Viktorija Paramonova demonstrated the prototypes of the school set at the Night of Scientists on September 30. Development and completion of methodological material, together with instructions on what is needed and how to use it. The research team describes the know-how required for the successful operation of all three prototypes. An auction is selected for the commercialization of project results. The intellectual property consolidation (material copyrights, know-how and designs) was carried out by the company Foral, while the intellectual property assessment was carried out by the company Pētersonas patent. Successfully completed registration of all three designs in Europe (No. 009161318-0001, No. 009161318-0002, No. 009161318-0003). The auction ends without a result. Further discussions with potential interested parties in Latvia and abroad
My story

favoritebooks were onphysics and chemistry, and I was an avid experimenteralthough my experiments werenot always with a positive result. I remember one of my first experiments - I wanted to make sure that the steam was really expanding, so I had lit a fire and boiled waterina stoppered bottle to make sure the cork would really shoot. All this with theintention to becomea designer and make a steam engine. My father also had similar interests, becausein the 1930tieshehadbuilt a radio at home.To save the life stories of my family I used to write down the historical memories of relatives. As part of this, I have discovered that manyin our familyhave talent in thenaturalsciences. For example, my cousin, with whom we study the family tree, did not carry aphonebook with him, becausehe could memorize100 telephone numbers. At school, I was better in chemistry than physics. I had also experimented a lot in my childhood, as chemistry seemed even too easy a science. In the 11th grade, a physics teacher sent

summer! During all renovation works, the UL Botanical Gardenwill be open to visitors and the usual activities will continue. The Foundation has co-financed the first phase of work in the amount of 213,430 euros. Support for the UL Botanical Gardenenvisages restoration and supplementation of collection and exposition plantings, arrangement of the territory infrastructure in accordance with modern requirements - creating and renovating footpaths, pond footbridges, recreation areas to make the garden an attractive place for the general public. engage in research and education, enjoy exhibitions, concerts and other cultural events. "In many parts of the world, in addition to educational and scientific tasks, botanical gardens also serve as quality recreation, inspiration, spending time with dear people, as a place for cultural events. We have thought about and discussed with each other when passing the Botanical Garden. Cooperation with the University of Latvia is another balanced step

emission intensity quenching along with band broadening here occurred. For the PLD-grown sample (e.g. s4), the expected temperature-dependent PL behaviour was established (energy red-shift, emission broadening and PL intensity quenching with T increased), with peak energy value at 2.8 eV (at low temperature). Comparing the growth techniques and the corresponding PL yield, best optical response was obtained from PLD (2 mV signal), then magnetron sputtering (1 mV), and MOCVD being the worst (0.5 mV). Overall optical response, however was moderate-to-low, as signal to noise ratio is approx. 100:1 for the 1 mV signal. In all of the samples grown using different techniques, excitation-dependent optical investigation showed no emission saturation or E -shift as laser power density (LPD) was increased by 2 orders of magnitude (8-800 kW/cm 2 ). Furthermore, the absence of excitonic feature(s), a high Stokes energy shift, and low values of characteristic k -parameter ( k =0.78 – magnetron

molecular dynamics simulations show that on the defectfree anatase TiO 2 (001) nanotube surface water adsorbs molecularly via weak interactions with the Ti sites and hydrogen bonds to surface oxygens. This binding mode is a consequence of strain-induced curvature effects, as our investigations have shown that neither the nanostructuring by slab thickness reduction nor solvation of thin planar TiO 2 (001) films alters the surface chemistry of the partially dissociated contact layer. The water molecules form a relatively strong hydrogen bond network, both for a buckled monolayer and for a multilayer-like (2 ML) film. While doping with sulfur, at the atom fraction (1/18) studied, weakens the interactions between the surface and water, nitrogen doping renders the surface more reactive to water, with a proton transfer to the surface and the formation of an NH group at the N site taking place in every studied case. At 2 ML coverage, even a second surface-assisted proton transfer takes place within

electric field effects on the activation of the NFAT-SEAP reporter expression system were started. The first version of prototype was fabricated and tested. From the preliminary data we need to improve the resistivity of the contact to the chip electrodes. It will be done soon by improving holder design. Electroporation experiments on a chip is going. 14.09.2022. During this period the experiment was expanded in various areas. The final design of the chip was finished. Additionally, a new experimental chip was developed and fabricated for pH measurement system calibration. Components and electronics for pH sensor were assembled already. New algorithm to enhance the sensitivity of pH sensor was develop after experiment with pH calibration chip. We are working on it now. A new methodology was developed to glue the oxygen sensor and mini-Luer lock. Simultaneously, a lot of experiments with melanoma cancer cell line is going on. The focus is on the electroporation and adhesion experiments

How to apply for exchange studies within bilateral/network cooperation agreements? The selection of the candidates take place at the beginning of each study semester and is organised by the international coordinator of the respective faculty . (Exception: Department of Asian studies select their candidates individually). Candidate shall address to the Mobility Division of the Student Services Department with an already approved and signed nomination form issued by the respective faculty, which is accordingly forwarded to the chosen partner university/network. Student nomination does not guarantee a study exchange place in the chosen partner university/network. For successful processing of application procedure in partner university/network, student shall follow all required procedures and set deadlines. Important! Application requirements for exchange studies abroad may differ from university to university. Majority of bilateral/network cooperation agreements do not foresee
