Language contact is a very multifaceted phenomenon, characterised not only by linguistic but also by sociolinguistic aspects. The course offers an insight into national language policy-making while analysing its impact and interpretation in today's bilingual regions of Spain. The aim of the course is to get an idea of the processes related with the language contact and language policy in Spain, by considering the events in both linguistic and sociolinguistic and diachronic contexts. Objectives •to get acquainted with the diversity of linguistic interaction processes and their consequences; •to master the main theoretical approaches to the analysis of interaction processes; •to strengthen the image of language policy and its role in modern society; Language of instruction: Spanish

The study course examines the sociolinguistic dynamics in Italy and the situation of the Italian language outside Italy. The aim of the course is to analyze the main aspects of language contacts, looking at it in a linguistic, political and historical context. Students will also be given an insight into the national language policy by analysing its impact in Italian bilingual regions. The objectives of the study course: 1. to reflect the language situation in Italy; 2. to study such theoretical concepts as language, dialect, multilingualism, bilingualism and diglossia; 3. to deepen the knowledge of linguistic and dialect diversity and the sociolinguistic situation in the country's bilingual areas; 4. to describe the situation of linguistic minorities, deepening the aspects related to minority. languages and the phenomenon of immigration; 5. to reflect the situation of the Italian language in the world. The course is delivered in Italian.

The aim of this course is to establish a knowledge base and skills about vision correction with contact lenses. Main tasks: to give knowledge about classification of refractive errors, and their diagnostic options; to gain skills and abilities in correcting refractive errors and prescribing appropriate contact lenses; to be familiarized with types of contact lenses, their adjusting and the effect on eye physiology; to acquire contact lens fitting methods, evaluate changes in frontal eye structures, and acquire contact lens fitting techniques and replacement strategies; to gain skills in contact lens fitting according to patient’s eye health condition and needs; to be able to give instructions to a patient about contact lens care and storage conditions.
