The aim of the course is to prepare technology students for the implementation of the student learning process, to promote problem research and creative skills in the design of fashion. Tasks - 1. Raise awareness of the importance and use of cultural and historical heritage in the development of fashion design products. 2. Develop design thinking skills in the creation and design of attire ideas, building an understanding of the economic aspects of the fashion industry. 3. Learn the skills to select develop and critically evaluate teaching tasks, means and methods for ensuring the learning process at school. 4. Develop student cooperation and presentation skills using IT. The language of instruction is Latvian.

Interior Textile Design
Course
The aim of the course is the possibility to ensure a chance for the students to learn the creative, research, practical skills in such textile techniques applicable in interior design as weaving, batik, printing as well as the course of product design development for organizing the learning process. Tasks of the course: 1. To acquire the technical skills and prepare exhibition materials for teaching; 2. To produce fabric design projects for primary classes on appropriate age groups; 3. To characterize natural, social and sustainable development processes as well as the aesthetic values of ethics and craftsmanship; 4. To assess the theoretical and practical knowledge and apply them in the learning process. The language of instruction is Latvian.

"Programming with delight" (Latvian "Programmējam ar prieku") is a project supported by the University of Latvia Foundation and the patron "Mikrotīkls". It is implemented by Ivars Driķis, assistant professor and researcher at the University of Latvia Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Optometry, creating a teaching aid for learning basic programming principles. 100 copies of the study material have been created during the implementation of the project. The complete set of teaching aids consists of a microcomputer, various modules and wires. What is the purpose? The practical outcome of the project is focused on educating pupils and students, and improving their skills. The produced didactic material will be used in the acquisition of the course "Computers and Software I" (DatZ1140) of Part A of the bachelor's study programme "Physics" implemented at the University of Latvia Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Optometry. It will also be available in the UL Science Library

Bachelor’s paper constitutes the concluding part of the study programme. The aim of the study course – to demonstrate one’s professional competence of being a teacher by conducting and defending independent research in the content or teaching/ learning methodology of the school subject, or in any other aspect relevant to a teacher’s activity. Students can also choose to write a bachelor’s paper as a teacher's portfolio – a paper revealing a teacher’s experience – which is advisable for experienced teachers who work at an educational institution. Writing a teacher's portfolio a student confirms one’s skill to perform independent professional activity. Objectives of the study course: 1.
