The aim of the study course is to promote students' understanding of the essence of international economic relations, national economic interests, national international economic relations policy, the interaction of state and business in the international economy, as well as the interaction of political and factors.
Tasks of the study course: to acquaint with the world economic system, ways of implementing international economic relations policy, principles of international economic organizations, to analyze the influence of various economic and non-economic factors on decision-making in international economic relations policy, to comparatively analyze national economic interests and national economic diplomacy.

First, the course explains the conceptual foundations of the relationship between mass media and internationalrelations. Second, the course focuses on the significance of mass media and internationalrelations in one specific region - Central and Eastern Europe. Third, the course introduces students the issue of freedom of speech and international documents whose aim is to strengthen the freedom of speech. Students learn various kinds of media and their significance. Students learn about legitimate media use in internationalrelations and its illegal application for the purposes of a hybrid war and special (covert) operations. The concept of propaganda is introduced and explained, and its history and various modern variations are discussed. The aim of the course is to provide an opportunity for understanding of the significance of Latvia in the internationalrelations in 20th and 21st centuries based on sources and literature. The tasks of the course are:
1) search, select, evaluate sources and literature on the role of Latvia in internationalrelations;
2) identify the most important problems related to international development in different periods of history;
3) analyze the possibilities of Latvia's involvement in the international processes of different historical periods.

The aim of the course is to provide students with in-depth understanding of the key concepts and theories of internationalrelations. Both classical texts and recent articles/books are studied during the course. A key aim of the course is to assist students who will later attempt to write their M.A. papers about internationalrelations issues. This course provides students with conceptual tools for their M.A. dissertations. This course is for master program students with solid background in political science and internationalrelations. To accomplish the stated aim, the course entails the following tasks: students study classical and modern internationalrelations theories; students acquire in-depth understanding of various aspects of international security; besides independent study of internationalrelations theories and concepts, students also debate the usefulness of various theoretical instruments; students prepare individual written assignments, thus independently testing
The course covers main topics of international movements of goods, services, labour and capital. During the course students will advance their knowledge about international economics relations, regional economic integration and international economic organisations. Course is based on knowledge of basic theories in market economy and allows students to practice practical application skills of the above mentioned theories. Course structure enables student to acquire main functioning principles of international economics using systematic and logical approach.
The main objective of the course is to introduce students to the contemporary state of international affairs. The course has two key tasks: (1) to analyze foreign policies of the key states in the contemporary international system and the main factors which affect their policies; (2) to provide students with a good understanding about the current state of agenda of internationalrelations and how key actor position themselves in relation to the key issues. Accordingly, the course consists of two components. The first part of the course looks at some of the major players on the international arena - the United States, China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, Turkey - and their foreign policy motivations. The second part of the course elaborates upon some of the major issues on the internationalrelations agenda such as demographics, energy, nuclear proliferation, and development. Students should be able to analyze international affairs independently.
