The content of the study program is internationally regulated and provides the acquisition of skills necessary for the labor market on pharmacy and information technologies, knowledge of medicines and substances used in the manufacture of medicines, as well as the latest scientific achievements in basic pharmaceutical disciplines. The curriculum aims to acquire good pharmaceutical practice competencies and emphasizes the importance of a science-based approach to the health care system. The basic principles and methods of implementation of pharmaceutical care are observed in the program, but the students' independent work skills are developed during the development of the bachelor's thesis.

Studiju programmas obligātajā (A) daļā tiek apgūti kursi 86 kredītpunktu apjomā: Augu un dzīvnieku bioloģija, Anatomija un fizioloģija, Praktiskā farmācija, Profesionālā ētika, Latīņu valoda, Medicīniskā terminoloģija, Vispārīgā ķīmija, Medicīnas mikrobioloģija, Imunoloģija, Farmakognozija, Neorganiskā ķīmija, Patfizioloģija, Analītiskā ķīmija, Farmakoloģija un farmakoterapija, Organiskā ķīmija, Farmakokinētika, Zāļu vielu metabolisms, Bioķīmija I, Farmācijas ķīmija, Fizika, Klīniskā farmācija, Zāļu formu tehnoloģija, Toksikoloģija un vides bioķīmija, Informātika, Datu bāzes, Ārstniecisko vielu biosintēze augos, Šūnu bioloģija.
Ierobežotās izvēles (B) daļā tiek apgūti kursi 22 kredītpunktu apjomā, bet brīvās izvēles (C) daļā studenti 12 kredītpunktu apjomā var apgūt citās fakultātēs, citās nozarēs.
Iespējams noteiktu studiju peridodu pavadīt ārvalstu sadarbības augstskolās Erasmus+ un citu programmu ietvaros. Populārākās apmaiņas universitātes ir Florences Universitāte Itālijā, Helsinku Universitāte Somijā un Koimbras Universitāte Portugālē, kā arī Utrehtas Augstskola Nīderlandē.
Ar bakalaura grādu var turpināt studijas maģistrantūrā vai strādāt farmaceitiskās darbības jomās, kur nav nepieciešams farmaceita sertifikāts. Farmācijas bakalauri drīkst strādāt farmaceitiskos uzņēmumos, aģentūrās un zinātniskos institūtos.
