Latvia’s Indigenous Livonian people—shaped by a rich cultural and linguistic heritage and a long, relatively well documented, and dynamic historical trajectory—provide a unique context for wide-ranging, interdisciplinary research. This includes the study of language and cultural transmission, revitalisation, and strategies for building long-term sustainability and resilience for languages and cultures in the rapidly evolving environments of the 21st century.
