The main objective of this activity would be to determine energy and radiative properties of transition metals and lanthanide atoms and ions in demand for astrophysics by recording high-resolution Fourier-transform spectra with enhanced sensitivity in the extended spectral range. The precise and unambiguous identifying of atoms or ions composition is necessary to extend the knowledge in a highly-competitive area of astrophysics, such as determination of element abundances to reveal the nuclear synthesis processes in cosmic objects.
