Director of the study program

The study programme combines process design with artistic practice, fundamental theoretical knowledge, management skills, and leadership competencies. The programme’s emphasis on process design in the context of art and culture represents an innovative approach – students will learn not only how to organise and manage projects in the fields of art and culture, but also how to critically examine existing mechanisms and propose ways to improve them in order to achieve greater effectiveness and impact. The design component within the programme’s curriculum enables students to acquire design as a tool for thinking and action in art, culture, research, and education, as well as in other areas connected to society. The study courses are structured to promote a process-oriented, interdisciplinary, and solution-focused approach.

The programme primarily focuses on process design in art and culture, while also developing transversal skills such as communication and management abilities, knowledge of networking and opportunities for building international partnerships, competencies in fundraising, awareness of current developments in art and cultural policy, and the ability to make socially responsible decisions aimed at sustainability. The programme equally supports artistic and creative expression, as well as fostering academic research and communication. It also provides opportunities for creative and practical work by modelling design prototypes, conducting case studies, and offering students’ own solutions to current social challenges.

Employment opportunities include:

  • Public sector (state and municipal institutions, including those related to culture, art, and education),
  • Non-governmental sector (NGOs working in culture, art, education, environmental and social fields),
  • Academia (by continuing studies at the doctoral level),
  • Entrepreneurship (process management, international project management, fundraising, private practice, etc.),
  • Creative industries, such as advertising and marketing agencies.

Graduates’ broad knowledge of cultural policy, the synergy between art and society, as well as their skills in project management, fundraising, and research will ensure employment in the fields of art and culture in both the public and non-governmental sectors. This foundation also enables graduates to pursue an academic career in research or to establish entrepreneurial paths in the private sector.

The study programme is also suitable for those already employed who wish to upgrade their qualifications and expand their knowledge and skills.
