The Business Process Management (BPM) programme offers comprehensive training in process optimisation, strategic management, and leadership, while introducing modern management practices such as design thinking and personal development planning. This prepares you for a wide range of careers across industries such as manufacturing, IT, finance, logistics, and more. You will learn how to enhance organisational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve productivity, while also developing essential leadership, self-awareness, personal development, and team management skills.

The programme also covers the integration of cutting-edge technologies and strategic planning to help organisations grow and thrive. Graduates have the opportunity to earn international project management certificates, including in IT project management, which enhances employability both locally and globally.

Additionally, the programme offers international internship opportunities through the Erasmus programme, enabling you to gain practical experience and build a global professional network. With the option to study at one of over 120 partner universities worldwide, this programme provides both the skills and international exposure needed for a successful career. Internships in large organisations are also a key component of the learning experience.

A key part of the Business Process Management programme is participation in hackathons, international business weeks, and innovation labs, organised both within the University and internationally. These activities allow you to apply your knowledge in real-world scenarios, work in interdisciplinary teams, and tackle authentic business challenges. Participation also helps you broaden your professional network and develop essential life skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation.

Admission Requirements for Foreign Nationals with Secondary Education Completed Outside Latvia:

EU/EEA/Swiss citizens and EU long-term residents:

Non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens and Non-EU long-term residents:

  • General secondary school diploma
  • English language proficiency
  • Grade in Mathematics must be no less than 8 on a 10-point grading scale
  • The average grade on the secondary education certificate across all subjects must be at least 6 on a 10-point grading scale
  • All grades must be passing (at least 4 on a 10-point grading scale)
  • If the secondary education certificate does not include a grade in mathematics, it can be replaced by a grade in the subject of economics/business management field (the grade must be at least (minimum 8 on a 10-point grading scale).
  • SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) overall score no lower than 1200

As part of the admission process, applicants will be required to participate in an online interview.

Admission Requirements for Latvian Citizens/Non-Citizens and Foreign Nationals with Secondary Education Completed in Latvia:

Admission criteria for individuals who obtained their secondary education from 2004 onwards:

  • CE in Mathematics*;
  • CE in English language at least Level B2;
  • CE in Latvian language;
  • Average score of all CEs completed by the individual;
    * For individuals who have completed secondary education before 2008, the centralised examination in mathematics may be replaced by the average mark in mathematics indicated in the secondary education document (or the average mark in algebra and geometry)

Admission criteria for individuals who completed their secondary education up to and including 2003 and individuals with special needs:

  • average grade in Latvian language and literature
  • final grade in Mathematics (or the average grade of Algebra and Geometry);
  • final grade in English language no less than 6 on a 10-point grading scale (can be substituted with an internationally recognised English-language test result at a minimum of level B2);
  • final average grade in mandatory subjects
  • As part of the Business Process Management programme, you have an excellent opportunity to take part in the Erasmus exchange programme, funded by the EU. We are proud to collaborate with over 120 partner universities across Europe, offering semester exchanges of up to six months—these exchanges can even be undertaken twice during your studies.
  • In addition, you can complete internships abroad twice, each lasting several months, also supported by the Erasmus programme. These internships provide valuable international experience, allowing you to develop practical skills and gain knowledge in a variety of companies across Europe.
  • Another opportunity is to participate in short Business Week trips, which offer an intensive international experience. During these trips, you can gain in-depth insights into the business environment, build a global professional network, and improve your language skills.
  • These international opportunities not only broaden your perspective but also make a significant contribution to your professional and personal development, preparing you for future challenges in the global job market.
