  Learn methods and tools for analysing and enhancing internal processes to boost efficiency and productivity.

  Gain the skills needed to plan, implement, and oversee projects successfully. Project management is crucial across all sectors and ensures the smooth delivery of organisational initiatives.
• Innovation management and design thinking
  Develop creative and innovative problem-solving skills through design thinking, improving product development and user experience.
• Entrepreneurship and global markets
  Explore the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, create a business or innovation plan, and understand how companies operate in a global environment.
• Digital transformation
  Study user experience, management information systems, basic programming, and big data analysis to support and advance organisational processes.
• Financial management
  Build competencies in budgeting, financial planning, financial control, and the analysis of organisational financial reports.
• Leadership and strategic management
  Learn how to design and implement long-term organisational strategies, develop leadership capabilities, and understand the leader’s role in managing change.
• Team and human resource management
  Gain insight into recruitment, employee development, motivation, and performance evaluation.
• Marketing
  Acquire essential knowledge of market analysis, strategic marketing, digital marketing, and e-commerce, and learn how to develop and implement marketing plans.

A key part of the Business Process Management programme is participation in hackathons, international business weeks, and innovation labs, organised both within the University and internationally. These activities allow you to apply your knowledge in real-world scenarios, work in interdisciplinary teams, and tackle authentic business challenges. Participation also helps you broaden your professional network and develop essential life skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation.

Programme Objective: Personal and Professional Transformation

The Business Process Management Bachelor’s programme aims to prepare future leaders for success in fast-changing environments. The programme is designed to:

• Equip you for management roles in companies, organisations, and public administration, both locally and internationally.

• Strengthen your personal development skills and provide the knowledge needed to start your own business.

• Develop your abilities in creative project management and the use of modern technologies.

• Offer hands-on experience through collaboration with companies and the opportunity to solve real business challenges.

• Help you master the fundamentals of organisational management, leadership, finance, and business process management through an interdisciplinary approach.

By completing this programme, you will be able to:

• Manage and optimise business processes to improve organisational efficiency and productivity.

• Approach complex challenges creatively and innovatively, developing effective solutions.

• Work effectively in teams and take on leadership roles to achieve shared goals.

• Make informed strategic decisions and adapt to changing market conditions, ensuring sustainable organisational growth.

Graduates are eligible to continue their studies at Master’s level.

Admission Requirements for Foreign Nationals with Secondary Education Completed Outside Latvia:

EU/EEA/Swiss citizens and EU long-term residents:

• General secondary school diploma
• English language proficiency
• Grade in Mathematics must be no less than 4 on a 10-point grading scale

Non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens and Non-EU long-term residents:

• General secondary school diploma
• English language proficiency
• Grade in Mathematics must be no less than 8 on a 10-point grading scale
• The average grade on the secondary education certificate across all subjects must be at least 6 on a 10-point grading scale
• All grades must be passing (at least 4 on a 10-point grading scale)
• If the secondary education certificate does not include a grade in mathematics, it can be replaced by a grade in the subject of economics/business management field (the grade must be at least (minimum 8 on a 10-point grading scale).
• SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) overall score no lower than 1200

As part of the admission process, applicants will be required to participate in an online interview.

Admission Requirements for Latvian Citizens/Non-Citizens and Foreign Nationals with Secondary Education Completed in Latvia:

Admission criteria for individuals who obtained their secondary education from 2004 onwards:

• CE in Mathematics*;
• CE in English language at least Level B2;
• CE in Latvian language;
• Average score of all CEs completed by the individual;
  * For individuals who have completed secondary education before 2008, the centralised examination in mathematics may be replaced by the average mark in mathematics indicated in the secondary education document (or the average mark in algebra and geometry)

Admission criteria for individuals who completed their secondary education up to and including 2003 and individuals with special needs:

• average grade in Latvian language and literature
• final grade in Mathematics (or the average grade of Algebra and Geometry);
• final grade in English language no less than 6 on a 10-point grading scale (can be substituted with an internationally recognised English-language test result at a minimum of level B2);
• final average grade in mandatory subjects

• As part of the Business Process Management programme, you have an excellent opportunity to take part in the Erasmus exchange programme, funded by the EU. We are proud to collaborate with over 120 partner universities across Europe, offering semester exchanges of up to six months—these exchanges can even be undertaken twice during your studies.
• In addition, you can complete internships abroad twice, each lasting several months, also supported by the Erasmus programme. These internships provide valuable international experience, allowing you to develop practical skills and gain knowledge in a variety of companies across Europe.
• Another opportunity is to participate in short Business Week trips, which offer an intensive international experience. During these trips, you can gain in-depth insights into the business environment, build a global professional network, and improve your language skills.
• These international opportunities not only broaden your perspective but also make a significant contribution to your professional and personal development, preparing you for future challenges in the global job market.
