Previous education:
Version 1 of previous education: bachelor's degree or second-level professional higher education, or equivalent higher education in pedagogy or educational sciences; competition evaluation criteria are - grade point average (20 x 10 = 200) + average grade of the final examinations (20 x 10 = 200) + essay for proof of study motivation (1 x 300 = 300) + general entrance exam (1 x 300 = 300);
Version 2 of previous education: bachelor's degree or second-level professional higher education or equivalent higher education in natural sciences, engineering and technology, medical and health sciences, agricultural, forestry and veterinary sciences, social sciences (except pedagogy and educational sciences), humanities and in arts and sciences; competition evaluation criteria are - grade point average (20 x 10 = 200) + average grade of the final examinations (20 x 10 = 200) + essay for proof of study motivation (0,7 x 300 = 210) + general entrance exam (0,7 x 300 = 210) + entrance exam in educational sciences (1 x 180 = 180).
In addition to the general entrance examination, the applicant submits a curriculum vitae (CV) and, if any, then:
- a document certifying participation in a scientific conference with a report or publication (s) in a scientific edition;
- a certifying document regarding the experience gained in the development of digital learning tools and the use of a teaching technological solution or a certifying document regarding creative achievements in the development of design;
- the recommendation of the Latvian Trade Union of Education and Science Employees.
Note: when applying for studies in English: English language proficiency, which is confirmed by the results of the international English language tests (listed in the General Conditions article 1.13.) or other evidence of English language proficiency corresponding to at least B2 level, or an assessment in English in a previous education certificate (mark must be at least 6 (on a 10-point scale)) or an entrance examination, except previous education obtained in English.
