The modular, workshop-based programme is designed to support an effective learning process.
The internship can be undertaken at various companies and organisations in Latvia or abroad. Students will have the opportunity to apply the techniques they have learned during the programme and gain insights from industry professionals in their specific field.
The programme aims to provide individuals with the opportunity to acquire the qualification of Information Security Manager and to prepare them for professional roles focused on ensuring effective information security and cybersecurity management within an organisation.
The study courses are structured into four modules:
- Cybersecurity module
- Management module
- Technical module
- Elective courses
Upon completing the Cybersecurity Management study programme, students will receive a second-level professional higher education diploma, be awarded a Professional Master’s degree in Business and Organisational Management, and obtain the professional qualification of Information Security Manager, corresponding to the fifth level of professional qualification.
The awarded degree confirms that graduates have developed the skills to define and formulate the core principles of an organisation’s operations, plan and manage work in alignment with company goals, work effectively with people, and adapt to various changes in a rapidly evolving business environment. The qualification demonstrates the graduate’s competence in ensuring information security within an organisation.
The aim of the study programme is to provide professional Master’s level studies that enable students to acquire the knowledge, skills, competencies, and abilities necessary to ensure effective cybersecurity management within an enterprise.
The programme integrates both the competencies required for an Information Security Manager and the essential competencies for cybersecurity management.
