Join the FORTHEM Info Session and Workshop “Joint Teaching and Learning” online via MS Teams

We are pleased to invite you to join online via MS Teams the FORTHEM Info Session and Workshop Joint Teaching and Learning. It will take place on November 6, 2025, from 13:00–14:30 CET / 14:00–15:30 EET, during the FORTHEM Annual Summit organised by the Université Bourgogne Europe in a hybrid format.

This session is designed for academic staff interested in international teaching collaborations, as well as administrative staff involved in facilitating virtual exchanges.

The session will introduce the concept of Internationalisation of Teaching, highlighting key formats and the objectives of the FORTHEM Alliance in this area. It will explore Virtual Exchange (VE), focusing on its benefits, challenges, and practical implementation, with special attention to:

  • Team Teaching
  • COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning)
  • Hybrid Teaching & Learning (e.g., hybrid short-term schools)

The FORTHEM team working on these new formats has tried to offer a simple way to get involved in different formats to implement in your courses international teaching/learning experience, from the simplest and easy Team Teaching to more committed formats, such as COIL.

We warmly encourage you to join this interactive session to learn about, explore practical tools, inspiring examples, and future possibilities for cross-border collaboration in higher education.
