The memorandum aims at developing cooperation in the field of education and research and strengthening mutual understanding between the universities. The memorandum will remain valid for a period of five years, during which the universities plan to conduct common research projects and exchange academic materials, publications and other scientific information.
Another Memorandum of Understanding was signed between VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd and the UL, Riga Technical University, Latvia University of Agriculture and Baltic Institute of Research, Technology and Innovation (BIRTI). Also signed in Helsinki on January 29, it covers issues related to scientific and technological cooperation between the institutions. The parties’ purpose is to promote common projects and support research, educational, professional and intercultural activities in such areas as bio-economy, functional materials, energy efficiency and biomedicine.
