“This is a special year for Werner von Siemens Excellence Award. Siemens Latvia Branch celebrates its 20th anniversary, and the Excellence Award is granted to the most promising young scientists already for the 15th time. I am very happy this year that young people are aware of the economic and political topicalities, and focus on the energy issues: searching for production alternatives and ways to use energy more rationally,” says Maija Baumane, the manager of Siemens Latvia Branch.
Siemens organizes this competition every year to encourage students to explore issues essential for modern society, develop creative and innovative solutions, and set ambitious future goals.
