CONFERENCE
Everyone interested is welcome to celebrate this special occasion together with the choir and conductor Edgars Vītols. The programme features folk songs, pieces by famous composers, Latvian song classics, and well-known melodies. All these years the choir has worked closely with many popular artists, and has prepared some nice surprises for this event.
The origins of the choir date back to 2004. Since then, Edgars Vītols’ enthusiasm, the friendly spirit in the choir, and coincidence of various favourable conditions have lead the choir to great success. It has won several awards and showed good results in a number of prestigious competitions: XXIV and XXV Latvian Song and Dance Celebration, the 25th International Franz Schubert Choir Competition in Vienna (Austria), the 6th International Robert Schumann Choral Competition in Zwickau (Germany), Grand Prix of Choral Music in Graz (Austria), the 5th Malta International Choir Competition & Festival in Valleta, and the 8th World Choir Games in Riga.
Every performance by Aura and its conductor gives listeners a unique experience of sharing their love for music.
