Latvia as an EU member state and internationally recognized as an efficient transportation hub in the Baltic Sea Region is highly interested to promote an exchange of views on how India and Latvia might create a network of cooperation in different academic, research and business aspects in the future.
Latvia stresses the importance of discussing such issues as Ayurveda and modern science, biology and environment, climate changes, society, traditions, religion, education, pharmacology, arts, business environment and tourism, opportunities for the development of the transport and logistic linkages between Europe and Asia.

TOPICALITY OF THE CONFERENCE:
The theme of the Conference has been chosen bearing in mind the overall priorities of the European Commission’s Europe 2020 Strategy, concentrating on the key factors of European economic growth in the coming years. Europe 2020 concentrates on three key priorities for delivering growth: smart growth through investment in education and innovative economic development, sustainable growth through emphasis on environmentally friendly solutions, and inclusive growth, emphasising employment and social and territorial cohesion. All of those goals are interrelated and have considerably influenced the choice of themes for this Conference.
