Ms. Federica Mogherini, The EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, will visit Riga and deliver a lecture on foreign policy at the UL Faculty of Social Sciences on November 13, 2014.

On 13 November, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/ Vice President of the European Commission, Federica Mogherini, who assumed office on 1 November, will make a visit to Latvia. During her visit, she will meet with the President of Latvia, Andris Bērziņš, Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edgars Rinkēvičs. The meetings are expected to address the current foreign policy and security policy issues, and cooperation with the European External Action Service in the course of the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the EU. In the framework of her visit, Federica Mogherini will have a discussion with foreign policy experts and deliver a lecture on foreign policy at the University of Latvia. The lecture will take place at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Isaiah Berlin auditorium, Lomonosova street 1 A on November 13, at 16.10.
