Culture Exchange Programme – Explore Beyond the Borders!

Culture Exchange programme – it is a place for every student who wants to discover new points of view and get to know more about different cultures. If you are Latvian or foreign student it is an opportunity for YOU to join and reach new level of knowledge about other cultures! Don’t be afraid to be open minded, active and friendly – it is easy to find new and good friends for the rest of your life, to make amazing memories and enjoy your free time! So – what will we do together? The main plan is to get together twice a month on 4-6 official meetings and to explore Latvia on 2 outdoor activities. In official meetings we will have some group tasks, discussions and other activities to make every meeting interesting. On outdoor activities we will explore Riga city and will go an a picnic somewhere in Latvia. But what’s CEP about? – you may ask. And the answer is very simple – Culture Exchange programme (CEP) is about promoting tolerance and stronger amity between Latvian and foreign students by giving them chance to participate in various activities during which participants are introduced to unique aspects of other cultures thus increasing understanding of other cultures. Our ultimate goal is united student environment where is place for both – Latvian and foreign students. Project is based on cooperation, respectful attitude and foreign student integration in Latvia’s environment. Besides amongst people are many different stereotypes that cause intolerance in society. Those stereotypes and intolerance mostly is based on society’s ignorance what we want to clear out during this project by letting participants get to know each other and participating in various activities. CEP is a great chance to meet students from all over the world giving you an opportunity to enjoy multicultural environment in Latvia and educate others about your culture whilst learning about others’ as well. In addition you can improve your knowledge of foreign languages and gain international friends for future adventures beyond the program borders.
