Now, 21 year after the collapse of the Soviet Union, it is essential to have a scholarly discussion addressing the manifold consequences of the Baltic memory politics of the 1940s. The aim of our multidisciplinary symposium is to provide scholars interested in the memory culture of the Baltic States with an opportunity to explore how these countries have been coming to terms with the history of the 1940s.
