Mark the Start of the New Academic Year in Aristotle!

On Sunday, August 31st at 19:30, the celebration will start with an opening ceremony in Dome Square, followed by an entertaining session of musical surprises in the evening. This year will mark the 48th time this event has been held. It is organized by the Student Council of the University of Latvia. During the event new students are getting acquainted both with their fellow students and with the management and administration of the university as well as starting their study year with joy! The opening ceremony will be followed by a march from the Dome Square to the Vidzeme Market (Brīvības street 90) where evening part will take place. The event’s special guests will be Latvian bands – Oranžās Brīvdienas, Laime Pilnīga, Suņa Stunda and Audience Killers. In order to feel the event’s atmosphere Student Council is suggesting to check out the Aristotle play list right here. The evening part starts at 22:00 and the tickets for it is available at the Student Council (Raiņa Boulevard 19, Room 144. The room is located right next to ESN office). Tickets are available in the office hours (10:00 – 17:00) and the price for one ticket is from 5 to 7 Euros.
