Teun van Dijk is a professor of Critical Discourse Analysis at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. The results of his studies on political discourse, ideology, racism, media discourse, knowledge and context have been published in more than 40 monographs and books and more than 250 scientific articles. His works of writing have been translated in different languages. Teun van Dijk is a founder and editor-in-chief of several international journals including Discourse & Society, Discourse Studies, Discourse & Communication and the internet journal in Spanish Discurso & Sociedad.
