The Business Administration programme offers a rich learning environment that engages students in a comprehensive analysis of business organisations, their functions, processes, and management techniques. It provides the knowledge and skills needed to contribute effectively to solving business challenges. The programme prepares students for the demands of today’s dynamic business environment.

Designed to help students master the fundamentals of leadership, business concepts, and strategic thinking in an international context, the programme takes a hands-on approach, emphasising the analysis of the current business landscape through practical case studies and assignments. The curriculum reflects the realities of the modern global economy, ensuring that learning is both relevant and applicable.

This professional Master’s programme in Business Administration is also well suited to professionals from other fields who wish to enhance their managerial competence.

The study process promotes strategic thinking, an international perspective on business, and the ability to effectively manage organisations in changing market conditions. The programme covers the following main areas:

  • Analysis of economic processes and development trends: You will gain an in-depth understanding of diverse economic processes, their interrelationships and development trends at both local and international level.
  • Assessment of the business environment: You will learn to analyse and evaluate the business environment in both local and international markets, identifying opportunities and risks for business development.
  • Business and project management: You will develop business and project management skills required to ensure competitive performance and increase a company’s added value.
  • Solving complex problems and decision-making: You will learn to analyse complex scientific and professional problems, critically evaluate situations, address current management issues and make well-founded decisions.
  • Teamwork and leadership: You will improve your ability to work in a team, understand the interests of different groups, present your opinion in a reasoned manner and engage in professional discussions.
  • Communication and conflict management: You will acquire effective professional communication principles and conflict management skills, which are essential in a manager’s daily work.

An important component of the study process is the internship. Internship placements may be in companies in Latvia or abroad.

Graduates of the programme are highly qualified and competitive managers in the public or commercial sector, with an understanding of the fundamental principles of organisational operations. Upon completion of the programme, you will acquire the skills to plan and manage work in accordance with organisational objectives, lead teams, and manage change in a dynamic business environment.
