Project objective:
The main goal of the ReNuW-Hubs project is to promote the development of a circular economy by treating community wastewaters (containing human produced biological contaminants) to ensure water reuse and simultaneous nutrient recovery. Wastewater treatment reduces the levels of pollutants and decreases the impact of eutrophication on water bodies. Nutrients recovered from the treatment of wastewaters are intended to use as soil amendment, for example, for greening the municipal parks and other public spaces.
The project is funded by the EU’s Interreg Central Baltic Programme 2021–2027.
