The “Smart Cybersecurity” study programme prepares specialists who are able to design, implement and manage secure information systems, as well as analyse and mitigate cybersecurity threats in today’s digital environment.

The programme combines cybersecurity theory, practical systems security and artificial intelligence solutions, with a particular focus on critical infrastructure protection and security innovation.

In the programme students will learn the fundamentals of cybersecurity, IT system design and operations, and artificial intelligence, and specialise in depth in 2 out of 6 selected topics (machine learning security, information security governance, cyber incident management, active defense, security of cyberphysical systems, cryptography), combining a strong theoretical foundation with practical assignments and research.

The programme is implemented in cooperation with Riga Technical University, and students will study at both universities simultaneously, gaining access to leading researchers, cutting-edge technologies and an interdisciplinary IT environment.

First-cycle higher education or equivalent higher education in the field of computer science and informatics, and an entrance examination;
