The study programme prepares competitive entrepreneurs and managers who are able to define the core principles of a company’s operations, plan and manage work in accordance with organisational goals, lead teams and manage change in a dynamic business environment. The programme specialises in innovation management and the use of innovative methods in business management.

During the studies, you will acquire in-depth knowledge, skills and competencies required for successful and sustainable business operations.
The programme covers the following main areas:
- Business competitiveness and innovation: You will gain an in-depth understanding of building and developing business competitiveness through innovative solutions and modern approaches.
- Sustainable business leadership: You will learn the principles of sustainable business leadership, creative thinking and research-based approaches required for long-term business development.
- Problem-solving and research: You will learn to independently apply the latest theories and methods, analyse situations, solve complex problems, conduct research and generate new knowledge.
- Decision-making and knowledge integration: You will develop the ability to make and justify managerial decisions, as well as integrate knowledge from different fields for the development of innovative business.
- Professional communication: You will improve your ability to explain and discuss complex business issues in a reasoned manner in both local and international environments.
An important component of the study process is the internship. Internship placements may be in companies in Latvia or abroad.
The programme prepares competitive entrepreneurs and managers by developing creative thinking, the ability to generate innovative ideas and create new value. Upon completion, you will acquire the knowledge, skills, competencies and abilities required to ensure competitive and excellent performance of organisations and their continuous increase in value.
Upon successful completion of the study programme, a Master’s professional higher education diploma and the qualification “Manager of Companies and Institutions” are awarded, which corresponds to the fifth level of professional qualification and allows you to continue doctoral-level studies.

Within the programme, it is possible to study for one or two semesters at one of the partner universities. The mobility period ranges from 2 to 12 months. Tuition fees abroad are covered by the partner university, while the student pays the tuition fee to the BA School of Business and Finance. In addition, it is possible to receive an Erasmus+ scholarship, which helps cover travel and living expenses.
Students have the opportunity to undertake Erasmus+ financially supported internships in European companies twice, each time for several months.
In addition, it is possible to participate in international project weeks organised by partner universities abroad and in short-term Erasmus+ mobility programmes.
Additional information about the programme and study plan
Classes take place twice a month on Fridays from 18:15 to 21:30, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 08:30 to 16:00 according to the lecture schedule of the respective semester.
