The study programme prepares highly qualified specialists in financial analysis and decision support in accordance with the professional standard “Financial Analyst”, who understand the interrelationships and trends of global economic and financial market development.

Within the study programme, students acquire in-depth knowledge in financial market analysis, evaluation of financial instruments, interpretation of corporate financial indicators and risk assessment, as well as develop the ability to make economically justified decisions under conditions of uncertainty. Particular attention is paid to quantitative analysis methods, financial modelling, data analytics and the use of digital tools.

The programme develops analytical, critical and strategic thinking, research skills and professional competencies in the study, analysis and evaluation of financial processes using modern information technology systems and financial analytics platforms. The study process also integrates aspects of financial regulation, sustainable finance and ethics, enabling graduates to be competitive in the financial sector, corporate environment and public sector.

This programme prepares highly qualified financial analysts in accordance with the professional standard “Financial Analyst”, providing in-depth knowledge in financial analysis, risk management and financial market research. During the studies, you will learn:

  • Interrelationships of economic and financial market development: You will gain an in-depth understanding of the local and international financial market environment, its development trends and its impact on business operations.
  • Analysis and evaluation of financial processes: You will learn to analyse and understand interrelationships in financial processes using modern analytical methods and approaches.
  • Identification and assessment of financial risks: You will acquire knowledge of financial risk analysis, methods for their evaluation and assessment of their impact at both company and market level.
  • Corporate financial forecasting and management: You will develop skills in corporate financial planning and forecasting to enhance competitiveness and increase added value.
  • Application of information technologies in financial analysis: You will learn to use advanced information technology systems and analytical tools for processing and evaluating financial data.
  • International cooperation and professional communication: You will improve your ability to work in international teams, substantiate your opinions, engage in discussions and resolve conflicts in a professional environment.

An important component of the study process is the internship, which provides students with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in practice by developing an individual analysis of a company’s operations. Internship placements may include banks and credit institutions, investment and capital market companies, insurance and leasing companies, audit, accounting and consulting firms, as well as private and public sector organisations and institutions.

Upon completion of this programme, you will become a professional who is able to:

  • Analyse and forecast a company’s financial development, making strategically justified decisions.
  • Identify and assess financial risks in local and international market environments.
  • Solve complex financial management and analytical problems using scientifically grounded methods.
  • Effectively use modern information technology systems in financial analysis and data processing.
  • Work in international teams, communicate professionally and defend your opinion in discussions.
  • Assume ethical responsibility for the impact of professional activities on society and the environment.
  • Integrate knowledge from different fields and contribute to the development of the professional domain.

Graduates of the programme are high-level financial analysts qualified to work in credit institutions, investment and insurance companies, as well as in organisations of both the public and private sectors.

Classes take place online on Wednesdays or Thursdays from 18:15 to 21:30 according to the schedule of the respective semester. Study materials for independent learning are accessible at a time convenient for you.
