The aim of the study programme is to prepare highly qualified, competitive financial specialists for the local and international labour market in changing socio-economic conditions, equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies in the field of finance in accordance with the fifth-level professional qualification standard “Financial Specialist”.

The BA School of Business and Finance Bachelor’s programme in Finance offers a diverse and modern curriculum that prepares students for a successful career in the financial sector. Here are some of the main areas you will study:
- Financial accounting: You will gain in-depth knowledge of financial accounting, including accounting fundamentals, financial accounting and tax accounting. These skills will enable you to accurately maintain financial records and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Financial analysis and management: You will learn to analyse financial statements, assess a company’s financial position and make strategic decisions that promote growth and sustainability. Study courses such as financial analysis and financial management will provide you with the necessary skills in this field.
- Investment management: You will learn about securities markets and investment fund management, which will allow you to understand investment strategies and their impact on corporate and individual financial goals.
- Risk management in the financial sector: You will learn to identify and assess financial risks, as well as develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring organisational stability and security in changing market conditions.
- Financial technologies (FinTech): You will become familiar with the latest technologies in the financial sector by studying financial technology courses that will help you adapt to digital transformation and use it for organisational development.
- International finance and tax policy: You will gain an understanding of global financial markets and international tax policy, which is essential for working in an international environment and conducting cross-border financial operations.
- Project management and entrepreneurship: You will develop skills in project management and entrepreneurship, enabling you to successfully plan, implement and manage projects, as well as start and develop your own business.
- Big data analysis: You will learn data analysis methods that will help you make informed decisions based on data analysis and interpretation, which is essential in today’s financial environment.
- Auditing and control: You will learn to perform financial audit and control procedures, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulatory requirements in a company’s financial operations.

International opportunities in Europe within the Erasmus programme:
- Within the Finance programme, you have an excellent opportunity to participate in the Erasmus exchange programme, which is funded by EU resources. The BA School of Business and Finance is proud of its 124 partner universities across Europe, offering semester exchanges of up to half a year, which can be undertaken even twice during your studies.
- In addition, you can complete internships abroad up to two times, each lasting several months, which are also funded by the Erasmus programme. These internships will provide you with valuable international experience, allowing you to gain practical skills and knowledge in various companies across Europe.
- Participation in short Business Week trips, which offer a concentrated and intensive international experience. During these trips, you can gain in-depth knowledge and experience in a business environment, build global contacts and improve language skills.

Additional information and study plan
For full-time daytime students, lectures take place on weekdays from 08:30 to 18:00.
For full-time evening students, lectures take place on weekday evenings from 18:15 to 21:30 and on Saturdays from 08:30 to 18:00.
For part-time extramural students, lectures take place on Saturdays from 08:30 to 18:00.
For online students, lectures take place on Mondays and/or Wednesdays from 18:15 to 21:30.
