Business Process Management (LV)

This programme covers various fields that are essential for the successful management and operation of an organisation. Here are some of them:

• Business process analysis and improvement: You will learn methods and tools for analysing and improving an organisation’s internal processes in order to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Project management: You will learn methods and tools required for project planning, implementation and control. Project management is essential in all organisations, ensuring successful project delivery regardless of industry.
• Innovation management and design thinking: You will learn design thinking methods that help creatively and innovatively solve problems and improve product development and user experience.
• Entrepreneurship and global markets: You will become familiar with the specifics of entrepreneurship, develop a business/innovation plan and understand how business operates in a global environment.
• Digital transformation: You will acquire knowledge of user experience, management information systems, basics of programming and big data analysis to support and improve organisational processes.
• Financial management: You will gain skills in financial planning, budgeting and control, as well as in analysing an organisation’s financial statements.
• Leadership and strategic management: You will learn to develop and implement long-term strategies for organisational growth and development, leadership principles and methods, as well as understand the role of a manager and leader in change management processes.
• Team and human resource management: You will understand personnel management, including recruitment, training and development, as well as motivation and evaluation of employees.
• Marketing: You will learn the basics of market analysis and strategic marketing, including the development and implementation of marketing plans, e-commerce and digital marketing.
• Communication skills: Industry professionals will teach how to communicate not only with colleagues and partners, but also with clients and end users in order to achieve the most effective results.

A mandatory component of the Business Process Management programme is participation in hackathons, international business weeks and innovation laboratories, which are organised both at the university and externally. These activities provide you with the opportunity to apply your knowledge in practice by working in interdisciplinary teams and solving real-world problems. Participation in such events not only expands your professional network, but also develops essential life skills such as teamwork, problem-solving and innovation creation.

Upon completion of this programme, you will become a professional who is able to:

International opportunities in Europe within the Erasmus programme:

• Within the Business Process Management programme, you have an excellent opportunity to participate in the Erasmus exchange programme, which is funded by EU. The BA School of Business and Finance is proud of its 124 partner universities across Europe, offering semester exchanges of up to half a year, which can be done twice during your studies.
• In addition, you can complete internships abroad even twice, lasting several months, which are also funded by the Erasmus programme. These internships will provide you with valuable international experience, allowing you to gain practical skills and knowledge in various companies across Europe.
• Participation in short Business Week trips, which offer a concentrated and intensive international experience. During these trips, you can gain in-depth knowledge and experience in a business environment, build global contacts and improve language skills.

For full-time daytime students, lectures take place every working day from 08:30 to 16:00.

For full-time evening students, lectures take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 18:15 to 21:00, and on Saturdays from 08:30 to 18:00.

For online students, lectures take place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 18:15 to 21:00.
