Multiphase magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) Experimental Diagnostics
Building on UL’s recognised leading liquid-metal MHD experiments, fellow will work on development of novel 3D diagnostics (UDV/UCT/CIBD) for gas–liquid flows under magnetic fields, positioning Latvia as a European fusion and metallurgical MHD test hub.
UL infrastructure
MHD labs with IPUL test loops (TESLA DN125 Na loop, PbLi/PbBi circuits), superconducting 5 T magnet, UDV/UCT systems, laser imaging labs etc..
