Travel to the City Centre/Conference Venue

From the airport "RIGA" 

Riga International Airport, located 13 km southwest of Riga, is the largest passenger airport in the Baltic States, servicing over 5 million passengers per year. Direct flights from/to London, Stockholm, Warsaw and most other European capitals are available on the daily basis provided by the Latvian national air carrier AirBaltic, as well as over 10 other major European airlines (incl. low-fare carriers like Wizz and Ryanair).

Travel options

By taxi: travel time from the airport to the Riga city centre (and the conference venue) 15 - 20 min. Prepare to pay 15-25 EUR. Allow extra time, if traveling by bus or taxi during the rush hours.

By special shuttle bus service: travel time 15 - 20 min (costs: EUR 5).

By public transport: Bus No 22 which goes to the center of Riga for the price of a regular ticket bought from the bus driver (EUR 1.20). The ride is approximately 30 minutes long and the bus leaves every 30 minutes from 04:25 a.m. till 00:35 p.m. Additional information on bus lines and schedules at www.rigassatiksme.lv.

From the central railway terminal

There are railway connections with St.Petersburg, Moscow, Truskavets and Simferopol. The central railway terminal is located in the central part of Riga. It will take you a 5 - 10 minutes walk to get to the Old Town, the major hotels and to the University of Latvia.

From the bus terminal

There are bus connections with all the neighbouring countries. The main route from Western Europe runs to Riga from Berlin, via Warsaw and Vilnius. The bus terminal is also situated in the center of Riga, next to the railway terminal. The luggage room is open from 05:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Tram No 7 will take you to the center which is just one stop ahead. If you choose to walk, it will take you 5 - 10 minutes to reach the Old Town.
